This webinar will introduce the basics of a system dynamics approach to quantifying and modeling resilience using the concept of “services.” The Integrated Urban Services Resilience Index (IUSRI) model will be presented. The IUSRI is composed of the Urban Ecosystem Resilience Index (UERI) and the Socio-Economic Resilience Index (SERI), and helps provide a means of tracking and benchmarking resilience that is dynamic and multi-dimensional. It is intended as a decision-support tool for local government units. Specifically, the IURI was developed for Pasig City and for Valenzuela City in this case study.
